Sark Literary Pairing | Appointment With Venus

£26.00

Available now - books will be posted out as a pair, each wrapped individually in tissue-paper, and tied with matching silk ribbons.

This Christmas, Manderley Press is delighted to offer readers a literary pairing inspired by the Channel Islands, for the special price of £26.

This bundle of books features two best-selling novels written over a half a century apart, but linked by the rich literary tradition of the Channel Islands.

The brand new edition of Appointment With Venus by Jerrard Tickell was published this summer by Manderley Press and is introduced by Rosa Rankin-Gee, who also wrote The Last Kings of Sark - available here as limited edition signed copies by the author.

Both Jerrard Tickell and Rosa Rankin-Gee lived and worked on the island of Sark; their novels are exquisitely written but feature very different subject matters and characters (although both are linked by their beautifully evocative descriptions of Sark itself). Ranging from a wartime adventure novel inspired by the rescue of a pedigree cow named Venus to a modern coming-of-age novella that shimmers with complicated love, there is something for everyone in this literary bundle.
